I am pleased to announce that Ravi Krishnan, Senior Director of Partnerships and Business Development at IT outsourcer Cognizant Technology, has agreed to join the Osteoporosis Foundation in the position of COO - Chief Operating Officer.  Ravi will be leading the operations and strategy for the Osteoporosis Foundation.

In his current role at Cognizant, Ravi oversees key areas of expansion within the Insurance and Financial services practice.  His prior professional experience includes stints at GE Insurance where he was AVP, Strategic Technology Initiatives, and as a principal Strategy Consultant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC).

Ravi’s academic background includes an undergraduate degree from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, India, and an MBA and a Master’s in Mass Communications from Arizona State University. Ravi is married to Meera, a physician at Kaiser Permanente (where we recently joined for our health coverage), and they are both busy raising and having fun with their 15-month-old son, Sidharth.

On a personal note, I have known Ravi for the past seven plus years as a personal friend and a well-wisher, and we particularly enjoy playing online Fantasy Football.

Please extend a huge welcome to Ravi on joining the Osteoporosis Foundation as the COO.

I look forward to working with Ravi in driving the vision, mission and goals of the Osteoporosis Foundation.
